This Simple Skincare Routine Will Take Care Of All Your Monsoon Skin Woes

This Simple Skincare Routine Will Take Care Of All Your Monsoon Skin Woes

With monsoon here in full swing, we can’t help but complain about the skin issues that come with this season. Due to high humidity and dirty rainwater, skin issues like dryness, itchiness, redness, and skin infections become pretty common. So, how do we protect and take care of our skin? Well, with every season change, your skincare needs a change too! And we have mapped out the perfect skincare routine that you need to follow this season to flaunt healthy skin throughout. Check it out.

Step #1: Cleanse your face

It is important to keep your skin clean at all times, but it becomes especially important during the monsoon. The humidity and rainwater can harm your skin if not cleaned properly with a gentle face wash.

Step #2: Exfoliate weekly

From flaky dry patches to oil build-up, your skin faces it all during the monsoon. So, it becomes really important to exfoliate at least 1-2 times weekly using a gentle face scrub . Made with skin-loving ingredients like thyme, zinc, witch hazel and bamboo exfoliators, this scrub deeply cleanses your skin by eliminating pore-clogging dirt and refining rough, uneven patches to give you clear and smooth skin. It’s also free from harsh chemicals, salicylic acid, parabens and alcohol, making it perfect for all skin types.

Step #3: Tone it up

Enlarged and open pores during monsoon can be quite dreadful, so make sure you don’t skip your toner after washing your face.

Step #4: Spot treatment

Your sebaceous glands go into overdrive during the monsoon, which is why you need to go the extra mile to keep your skin happy in the monsoon.

Step #5: Moisturise it right

If you think you should skip moisturising during monsoon to avoid feeling greasy or oily, you are highly mistaken! If you don’t moisturise your face, your sebaceous glands will produce more oil to make up for the lack of hydration — leaving your skin even more oily. Moisturising your skin with a lightweight moisturiser

Step #6: Don’t forget sunblock

Just because you don’t see the sun or sun rays during monsoon, that doesn’t mean you should forget your sunblock. Slather on a high SPF sunscreen like  with SPF 50 at least 30 mins before you step out. This dermatologically tested sunscreen blocks upto 97% of harmful sun rays and gives your skin a natural, matte finish.
